J.; Orobiyi, Azize; Tchakpa, Cyrille; Ewedje, Eben-Ezer; Sabot, Francois published an article.HPLC of Formula: 79-07-2 The title of the article was Rice pests in the Republic of Benin : farmers’ perceptions, knowledge and management practices. And the article contained the following:

Rice (Oryza spp) is one of the most consumed cereals in the Republic of Benin. However, rice production is threatened by various pests, which lead to important yield losses. For the development of integrated management strategies responding to the farmers’ realities, it is important to document their perceptions, knowledge and management of rice pests. Surveys involving 418 rice farmers to 21 ethnic groups through 39 villages were performed using rural appraisal tools. Farmers perceived birds, specifically weavers as the most important rice pests. The surveyed farmers also identified the variegated grasshopper, Zonocerus variegatus L. and rice brown leaf spots [Curvularia lunata (Wakker) Boedijn] as the main pests in the northern region, the pink stem borer, Sesamia calamistis Hampson and rice blast (Magnaporthe grisea (Hebert) Barr) in the southern region, and Z. variegatus and rice yellow mottle virus (genus Sobemovirus) in central Benin. The most important rice storage constraint was rodent attacks and the surveyed farmers proposed 13 key solutions to minimize constraints related to rice storage. Among various pest control methods recorded, farmers used mainly synthetic chem. pesticides. However, the Beninese National Pesticide Management Committee (CNGP) does not recommend most of pesticides used by farmers for rice protection (prohibited pesticides or intended for the protection of other crops). Farming experience, family size, region and number of observed pests have significantly influenced farmers’ decision to use pesticides. The rice pests perceived by farmers as important vary significantly across regions. These results suggest that integrated pest management programs which target rice pests accounting for these regional differences will be more effective. The identified variables that influence the use of pesticides must be taken in account in the development of strategies which will encourage farmers to use ecofriendly pest management. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Chloroacetamide(cas: 79-07-2).HPLC of Formula: 79-07-2

And the article contained the following:

Drug discovery is an expensive and time-consuming process. To make this process more efficient quantum chem. methods can be employed. The electrophilicity index is one property that can be calculated by quantum chem. methods, and if calculated correctly gives insight into the reactivity of covalent inhibitors. Herein we present the usage of the electrophilicity index on three common warheads, i.e., acrylamides, 2-chloroacetamides, and propargylamides. We thoroughly examine the properties of the electrophilicity index, show which pitfalls should be avoided, and what the requirements to successfully apply the electrophilicity index are. On February 10, 2021, Zha, Yonghong; Lu, Shiying; Hu, Pan; Ren, Honglin; Liu, Zengshan; Gao, Weihua; Zhao, Chengmin; Li, Yansong; Zhou, Yu published an article.Application of 79-07-2 The title of the article was Dual-Modal Immunosensor with Functionalized Gold Nanoparticles for Ultrasensitive Detection of Chloroacetamide Herbicides. And the article contained the following:

Convenient and ultrasensitive detection of pesticides is demanded for healthcare and environmental monitoring, which can be realized with a dual-modal strategy. In this paper, based on a biotin-labeled IgG-modified gold nanoparticle (AuNP@IgG-bio) probe, a dual-modal immunosensor was proposed for detecting chloroacetamide herbicides. This platform is relied on the dephosphorylation of ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (AA2P) by alk. phosphatase (ALP). In addition to this process, ascorbic acid (AA)-triggered deposition of silver on gold nanostars (AuNSs) and the fluorogenic reaction of dehydrogenated AA and o-phenylenediamine (OPD) occur sequentially. Thus, the dual readout of the color change of red-green-blue (RGB) and fluorescence generation in situ induced by crystal growth can be used. The limits of detection (LODs) were as low as 1.20 ng/mL of acetochlor (ATC), 0.89 ng/mL of metolachlor, 1.22 ng/mL of propisochlor, and 0.99 ng/mL of their mixture by a smartphone and 0.44 ng/mL of ATC, 1.59 ng/mL of metolachlor, 2.80 ng/mL of propisochlor, and 0.72 ng/mL of their mixture by a spectrofluorometer. The recoveries from corn were 91.4-105.1% of the colorimetric mode and 92.4-106.2% of the fluorescent mode. Due to its simple observation mode and good performance, this dual-modal immunosensor possesses considerable application prospects. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Chloroacetamide(cas: 79-07-2).Application of 79-07-2

The Article related to glyphosate organochlorine occupational exposure mental health risk assessment population, farmer, mental health, pesticide, psychiatric disorder, symptom, Placeholder for records without volume info and other aspects.Application In Synthesis of 2-Chloroacetamide

Ong-Artborirak, Parichat; Boonchieng, Waraporn; Juntarawijit, Yuwayong; Juntarawijit, Chudchawal published an article in 2022, the title of the article was Potential Effects on Mental Health Status Associated with Occupational Exposure to Pesticides among Thai Farmers.Application In Synthesis of 2-Chloroacetamide And the article contains the following content:

Pesticide-related mental health issues in Thailand, an upper-middle-income country, are not well known. This study aimed to investigate the association between the history of occupational exposure to pesticides and the mental health of Thai farmers. A cross-sectional study was carried out in the areas around Chiang Mai, a large city in Northern Thailand, between June 2020 and Jan. 2021. A total of 6974 farmers from six districts were interviewed to determine whether they regularly experienced symptoms related to mental health by the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20) as well as their lifetime history of agricultural pesticide exposure from 31 active ingredients and five functional categories: insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, and molluscicides. The cut-off of 6 was used to evaluate probable mental disorder. Most of the farmers under investigation were men (53.8%), with a mean age of 55.2 (11.7) years, and were involved mainly in the planting of rice, fruit, and vegetables. About 86.7% reported having used pesticides on their crops at some point in their lives-mostly glyphosate, paraquat, 2,4-D, methomyl, and carbofuran. All functional groups, as well as pesticide classes like organochlorines, organophosphates, and carbamates, were significantly associated with a higher risk of probable mental disorder based on exposure duration, frequency, personal protective equipment usage, and hygienic behavior. In a model with multiple pesticides, there was an association between mental disorder and exposure to endosulfan (AOR = 2.27, 95%CI = 1.26-4.08) and methyl parathion (AOR = 2.26, 95%CI = 1.26-4.06). Having previously reported pesticide poisoning symptoms was related to mental disorder (AOR = 7.97, 95%CI = 5.16-12.31), the findings provided evidence of pesticide exposure posing a risk to farmers′ mental health, particularly long-term and high-intensity exposure. Abdul, Shiraazkhan; Dekkers, Dick H. W.; Ariens, Robert A. S.; Leebeek, Frank W. G.; Rijken, Dingeman C.; Uitte de Willige, Shirley published an article in 2020, the title of the article was On the localization of the cleavage site in human alpha-2-antiplasmin, involved in the generation of the non-plasminogen binding form.COA of Formula: C2H4ClNO And the article contains the following content:

The C-terminus of α2AP is crucial for the initial interaction with plasmin(ogen) and the rapid inhibitory mechanism. Approx. 35% of circulating α2AP has lost its C-terminus (non-plasminogen binding α2AP/NPB-α2AP) and thereby its rapid inhibitory capacity. The C-terminal cleavage site of α2AP is still unknown. A com. available monoclonal antibody against α2AP (TC 3AP) detects intact but not NPB-α2AP, suggesting that the cleavage site is located N-terminally from the epitope of TC 3AP. For epitope mapping of TC 3AP, com. available plasma purified α2AP was enzymically digested with Asp-N, Glu-C, or Lys-N. The resulting peptides were immunoprecipitated using TC 3AP-loaded Dynabeads Protein G. Bound peptides were eluted and analyzed by liquid chromatog.-tandem mass spectometry (LC-MS/MS). To localize the C-terminal cleavage site precisely, α2AP (intact and NPB) was purified from plasma and analyzed by LC-MS/MS after enzymic digestion with Arg-C. LC-MS/MS data from plasma purified α2AP showed that NPB-α2AP results from cleavage at Gln421-Asp422 as preferred site, but also after Leu417, Glu419, Gln420, or Asp422. The C-terminal cleavage site of human α2AP is located N-terminally from the TC 3AP epitope. Because C-terminal cleavage of α2AP can occur after multiple residues, different proteases may be responsible for the generation of NPB-α2AP. On August 31, 2022, Sobh, Eman A.; Khalil, Nadia A.; Faggal, Samar I.; Hassan, Marwa S. A. published an article.Application of 79-07-2 The title of the article was New benzothienopyrimidine derivatives as dual EGFR/ARO inhibitors: Design, synthesis, and their cytotoxic effect on MCF-7 breast cancer cell line. And the article contained the following:

New cytotoxic agents based on benzothienopyrimidine scaffold were designed, synthesized, and evaluated against the MCF-7 breast cancer line in comparison to erlotinib and letrozole as reference drugs. Eight compounds demonstrated up to 20-fold higher anticancer activity than erlotinib, and five of these compounds were up to 11-fold more potent than letrozole in MTT assay. The most promising compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory activity against EGFR and ARO enzymes. Compound 12, which demonstrated potent dual EGFR and ARO inhibitory activity with IC50 of 0.045 and 0.146 μM, resp., was further evaluated for caspase-9 activation, cell cycle anal., and apoptosis. The results revealed that the tested compound 12 remarkably induced caspase-9 activation (IC50 = 16.29 ng/mL) caused cell cycle arrest at the pre-G1/G1 phase and significantly increased the concentration of cells at both early and late stage of apoptosis. In addition, it showed a higher safety profile on normal MCF-10A cells, and higher antiproliferative activity on cancer cells (IC50 = 8.15 μM) in comparison to normal cells (IC50 = 41.20 μM). It also revealed a fivefold higher selectivity index than erlotinib towards MCF-7 cancer cells. Docking studies were performed to rationalize the dual inhibitory activity of compound 12. Belarbi, Saida; Vivier, Martin; Zaghouani, Wafa; De Sloovere, Aude; Agasse, Valerie; Cardinael, Pascal published an article in 2021, the title of the article was Comparison of Different d-SPE Sorbent Performances Based on Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe (QuEChERS) Methodology for Multiresidue Pesticide Analyses in Rapeseeds.Formula: C2H4ClNO And the article contains the following content:

Pesticide extraction in rapeseed samples remains a great anal. challenge due to the complexity of the matrix, which contains proteins, fatty acids, high amounts of triglycerides and cellulosic fibers. An HPLC-MS/MS method was developed for the quantification of 179 pesticides in rapeseeds. The performances of the quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) method were evaluated using different dispersive solid-phase extraction (d-SPE) sorbents containing common octadecylsilane silica/primary-secondary amine adsorbent (PSA/C18) and new commercialized d-SPE materials dedicated to fatty matrixes (Z-Sep, Z-Sep+, and EMR-Lipid). The anal. performances of these different sorbents were compared according to the SANTE/12682/2019 document. The best results were obtained using EMR-Lipid in terms of pesticide average recoveries (103 and 70 of the 179 targeted pesticides exhibited recoveries within 70-120% and 30-70%, resp., with low RSD values). Moreover, the limits of quantification (LOQ) range from 1.72 渭g/kg to 6.39 渭g/kg for 173 of the pesticides. Only the recovery for tralkoxydim at 10 渭g/kg level was not satisfactory (29%). The matrix effect was evaluated and proved to be limited between -50% and 50% for 169 pesticides with this EMR-Lipid and freezing. GC-Orbitrap analyses confirmed the best efficiency of the EMR-Lipid sorbent for the purification of rapeseeds. And the article contained the following:

The potential drug target choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) catalyzes the production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in cholinergic neurons, T-cells, and B-cells. Herein, we show that arylvinylpyridiniums (AVPs), the most widely studied class of ChAT inhibitors, act as substrate in an unusual CoA-dependent hydrothiolation reaction. This in situ synthesis yields an adduct that is the actual enzyme inhibitor. The adduct is deeply buried in the active site tunnel of ChAT and interactions with a hydrophobic pocket near the choline binding site have major implications for the mol. recognition of inhibitors. Our findings clarify the inhibition mechanism of AVPs, establish a drug modality that exploits a target-catalyzed reaction between exogenous and endogenous precursors, and provide new directions for the development of ChAT inhibitors with improved potency and bioactivity. On March 18, 2021, Peng, Guibin; Zhu, Chengzhen; Liao, Junbin; Gao, Xing; Hao, Liang; Sotto, Arcadio; Shen, Jiangnan published an article.Application In Synthesis of 2-Chloroacetamide The title of the article was A two-step strategy for the preparation of anion-exchange membranes based on poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) for electrodialysis desalination. And the article contained the following:

The development of a facile approach to fabricate anion exchange membranes (AEMs) with efficient ionic transport and desirable stabilities (mech. and dimensional) for various applications is meaningful. In this work, a two-step strategy for the preparation of AEMs with 3D network structure, via crosslinking reaction between 2-chloroacetamide (CAA) modified poly (vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) and N,N,N’,N’-tetramethyl-1,4-diaminobutane (TMDAB) has been reported. The as-prepared AEMs with ion-exchange capacity (IEC) in the range of 1.38-1.84 mmol g-1, exhibit the much lower water uptake (13.14-22.45%, 80°C) relative to the un-crosslinked AEM (35.89%, 80°C). In addition, due to the presence of fluorine-based 3D network structure, the as-prepared AEMs show much enhanced mech. and thermal stability in comparison with the un-crosslinked AEM. In the electrodialysis (ED) application, the optimized AEM shows the higher current efficiency (78.6%) and lower energy consumption (2.01 kWh kg-1 NaCl) than those of com. AEM AEM-Type II (76.4%; 2.26 kWh kg-1), resp., within 150 min of operation interval. The proposed facile fabrication protocol and the better-performance of optimized PVDF-HFP -based AEM demonstrate the potential ED application. On March 31, 2020, Kim, Da-Hye; Park, Chang Gyun; Kim, Young Jun published an article.Formula: C2H4ClNO The title of the article was Characterizing the potential estrogenic and androgenic activities of two disinfection byproducts, mono-haloacetic acids and haloacetamides, using in vitro bioassays. And the article contained the following:

Exposure to disinfection byproducts (DBPs) is potentially related to cytotoxic, genotoxic, mutagenic, and tumorigenic effects in humans, in addition to their adverse effects on the environment. However, their impacts on endocrine disruption, especially reproductive toxicity, remain largely unknown. In this study, the estrogenic and androgenic activities of DBPs and corresponding antagonistic activities were investigated using a yeast-based reporter assay, focusing on haloacetic acids and haloacetamides. We also examined the cytotoxicity of DBPs and mechanisms of antagonistic activities. Of the DBPs assayed, iodoacetamide (IAM) and bromoacetamide (BAM) were the most cytotoxic, with LC50 values of 0.0462 and 0.0537 mM, resp., followed by chloroacetic acid (CAA; LC50 = 4.87 mM) and chloroacetamide (CAM; LC50 = 5.28 mM). Iodoacetic acid (IAA) and bromoacetic acid (BAA) were the least cytotoxic, with LC50 values of 5.52 and 6.35 mM, resp. IAA (EC10 = 0.00573 mM; EC50 = 0.0215 mM) exhibited most potent estrogenic activity, and CAA (EC10 = 0.0434 mM) and BAM (EC10 = 0.0150 mM) showed weak estrogenic and androgenic activities, resp. By contrast, IAM exhibited anti-estrogenic effects. These results suggest that DBPs interact with hormone receptors.
