The current synthetic route, although reliable, requires 7 steps and has a low overall yield (18%), leaving opportunity for improvement. The authors present an efficient alternative approach toward the synthesis of CL285032 from 3-AcMeNC6H4Ac over 3 steps with 65% overall yield.
