To this was added N- (4-Aminobutyl)-N-methyl carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.0 g, 5.2 mmol), and triethylamine (0.91 mL, 6.4 mmol) and reflux continued for 30 minutes. Upon cooling methanol was added and the precipitate formed was filtered and washed with diethyl ether to give the title compound (25) (2.0 g, 90%). LC/MS: Rt = 3.97 min, m/z = 497.2-499.2 [MH+].
