The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and diluted with water (200 mL). The resulting solid was collected by filtration and washed with hexanes to afford 2-(4-benzyloxy-3,5-dimethyl-phenyl)-5,7-dimethoxy-3H-quinazolin-4-one as a white solid (1.2 g, 79%).
