Synthesis of compound 13.2. To a solution of compound 13.1 (6.43 g, 30.00 mmol, 1.00 equiv) in 80 mL of distilled THF was added LiAlH4 (5.7 g, 168.03 mmol, 5.00 equiv) portion-wise at 0C under nitrogen. After addition completion, the resulting mixture was stirred for 4 h at 80C in an oil bath.
