Synthesis of 3,5-dideutero-4-amino-2-fluoro-N-methyl benzamide (compound 22) Into a suspension of compound 5 (1 g, 5.95 mmol) in heavy water (10 mL) concentrated hydrochloric acid (0.5 mL, 6.00 mmol) was added, thereby forming the heavy water solution of the hydrochloride salt of compound 5.
