General procedure: Oxalyl chloride (6.61mmol) was added dropwise into a stirred solution of the appropriate benzamide (2.6mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10mL). The mixtures were heated at reflux for 20-22h. The solid products were each filtered, washed with acetonitrile, and air dried.
