The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with a 0-60% gradient ofEtOAcin dichloromethane to afford a solid. The solid was triturated with diethyl ether and collected by filtration to afford the title compound (110 mg, 64% yield). H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3):delta 8.96 (1H,brs), 8.21 – 8.17 (1H, m), 7.55 (1H, d,J= 5.5 Hz), 7.45 – 7.41 (2H, m), 7.35-7.24 (2H, m), 1.24 – 1.15 (3H, m), 0.99 – 0.91 (2H, m); LCMS (ESI) m/z: 363.2 [M+H]+.HRMS m/z [M+H]+calcd.forC17H12Cl2N2OS 363.0125, found 363.0118.

Chilled H20 (150 pL) was added dropwise, with vigorous stirring, and then followed by aqueous sodium hydroxide (15% wiv, 150 pL) and additional water (0.5 mL). The solution was left stirring at room temperature until effervescence had ceased and the grey powder had turned white (30 min). The solution was dried (MgS04) and then filtered.
